Lovely space with lovely people. Didn't realize the menu was rotating, but the food was great nonetheless!
Delightful find on Pine Street in Center City. We arrived on a Monday night to this gem which was quiet when we were seated but other diners arrived shortly afterwards. Very attentive waiter who timed the app then meal perfectly. Food was hot and tasty, I look forward to trying other French influenced choices in the future. Cozy atmosphere. French onion soup and beet salad were great, I enjoyed the citrus and goat cheese in the salad. Soup was rich with melted cheese and bread.
Loved our Mabu experience! My partner got the not always on the menu pork chop and I went for the gluten free cod option on a bed of delicious tomato paste mix. We had a hard time picking our salad since all of them looked great. Service done by co-owner was personal and pleasant. We will be back thank you! BYOB friendly :)
We were looking for a restaurant within walking distance of our rental. We found Mabu on Google and were enticed by the photos. We had the brick chicken and ratatouille, which were “clean your plate” delicious!! Grace, one of the owners, was welcoming and spent time making us feel welcome. Very nice since we showed up 30 minutes before closing time! The mud pie dessert was also terrific- rich but not heavy. Highly recommend!!
Mabu Kitchen is the kind of place that makes you feel like you’ve hit the jackpot of charming spots in Philly. My spouse and I went there for a date night, and let me tell you, it was a perfect combo of amazing food and good vibes. The restaurant is so cozy and quaint—it’s like the kind of place you’d want to accidentally stumble into but then never leave (except they’d probably notice). The atmosphere is super approachable, like your chill friend who’s got style but doesn’t make a big deal about it. It’s great whether you’re hanging out with old friends or testing the waters with new ones—no awkward vibes here, just great food and good times. The service? Impeccable. Seriously, these folks know how to make you feel like royalty without making it weird. And the food... wow. Every dish was like a little party for my taste buds. You know it’s good when halfway through, you’re already planning your next visit just so you can eat it all over again. Mabu Kitchen totally nails it when it comes to being charming, delicious, and effortlessly fun. If you haven’t been, you’re missing out on some serious culinary joy.
A cute little family owned restaurant, BYOB is definitely a plus. Limited menu but everything we ordered is absolutely delicious! Highly recommend the duck confit - the best I’ve ever had!
This is another must try in Philadelphia. The food is delicious and consistent. The owner Grace makes you feel at home always. Grab your favorite bottle of wine and enjoy a fantastic meal in an intimate setting. Dinner and brunch. When the weather is pleasant dine outside. Nothing but positive things to say about this!
I went here for brunch over the weekend, and the service was amazing (thanks, Julia)! The restaurant is small but super cute. I ordered the chicken & waffles, and it was delicious! Plus, it’s BYOB, which is a nice touch. Definitely 10/10!
